Ericsson and MIEPECC Partner to Strengthen Digital Inclusion and Entrepreneurial Development in Morocco

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills (MIEPECC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during GITEX Africa 2025, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing digital education and supporting small business growth across Morocco.

This initiative seeks to promote digital inclusion by equipping entrepreneurs and small business owners with future-ready skills through Ericsson’s global portfolio of educational programs. The partnership aligns with Morocco’s ambitious Digital 2030 Agenda, which emphasizes innovation, capacity building, and inclusive digital transformation.

Under the MoU, both parties will explore avenues through which Moroccan entrepreneurs can access Ericsson’s educational platforms covering areas such as 5G, AI, and IoT. The goal is to empower small enterprises with the digital competencies necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

His Excellency Mr. Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, stated:
“This potential collaboration with Ericsson reflects our shared commitment to fostering digital inclusion in Morocco. We are eager to explore how this initiative can strengthen our entrepreneurial ecosystem and support the aspirations of Morocco’s Digital 2030 Agenda.”

Majda Lahlou Kassi, President of Ericsson Morocco and Vice President, Head of Ericsson West and Southern Africa, added:
“We are pleased to enter into discussions with MIEPECC to assess how Ericsson’s global expertise and digital learning resources can contribute to the upskilling of Moroccan small businesses and startups. Our aim is to help build a more resilient and future-ready entrepreneurial landscape in Morocco.”

This partnership reflects a mutual interest in evaluating inclusive and sustainable pathways for digital transformation and economic empowerment in Morocco, in line with the country’s long-term strategic vision for digital advancement.
